About Us

Hello. My name is Jordan Price and I am an educator, a husband, a father, and a self-proclaimed theatre nerd. When I moved to Louisville from New York, back in 2011, with a BA in theatre and a Masters in Education, and I realized there was a performing arts elementary school, it became my dream to teach there. Not only did I get that chance, but in 2015 I became the drama educator at Lincoln Performing Arts Elementary School. Working at this amazing school, along with my involvement in the rich Louisville theatre community, has confirmed my belief that all kids benefit from a drama education. After the pandemic, returning to the public school setting, it became clear that several students did not return to the classroom and it pained me to realize they would no longer be receiving itinerant classes in the performing arts. Upon doing further research, I discovered that Louisville and Southern Indiana have a sizeable home school community. Digging a little deeper it became evident that there are very few performing arts opportunities available to these students during their school day, and I decided to do something about it. Using my years of experience, I started to design a curriculum to provide a dynamic performing arts education to both primary and intermediate levels, which would align with Nation Arts standards, as well as ELA curriculum. Finally, I reached out to some of the finest local talent to lead classes and provide the best experience for all participants. I am beyond excited to finally be able to offer our home school community a program that I am extremely proud. I look forward to bringing the magic of the performing arts into your student’s life through Arts Home.
